SD-Wan/SASE Support Engineer - Bilingual

This position will report to the Engineering and Operations department. The Cisco SD-Wan/SASE Support Engineer is a proactive and customer-focused network engineer, with extensive knowledge in network and security technologies, mainly based on Cisco Viptela and Meraki technologies to ensure that the daily operation of the services for the CES customers run as expected.

The SD-Wan/SASE Support Engineer interacts with the engineering team as needed to operate the SD-Wan Solutions that work in conjunction with other technologies like MPLS for underlay, UCaaS, Zscaler, Security, or Cloud Connections.

Essential Functions

• Applies advanced engineering and network principles, theories, concepts, and technologies to solve complex Cisco SD-Wan problems.

• Monitor network infrastructure is working at optimal levels to support the SD-Wan customer services availability.

• Interact with the engineering team to execute change management for infrastructure, upgrades, service change management, etc.

• Act as technical 2nd level of escalation for SD-Wan day to day operations NOC, over medium to large networks.

• Update documentation regarding changes to customer services.

• Access MPLS backbone routers (Cisco, Juniper) as needed to troubleshoot underlay issues that may be affecting SD-Wan services.

• Work with the engineering team to troubleshoot issues related to API integrations and scripts used for automation over sd-wan configurations.

• Troubleshoot tunnels towards zScaler, flows and configuration from the SD-wan environment.

• Work with service managers to assure statistics reports can be obtained as expected.

Education & Experience

• Certification on Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or SD-Wan Viptela.

• Strong experience with LAN/WAN routing protocols, QoS, MPLS, BGP, L3VPN/L2VPN, IGP, OSPF, OMP SD-WAN, VRRP.

• Strong understanding of networking protocols (HTTP, DNS, NTP, SMTP, STP, NetConf, NMS, etc.)

• Virtual Private Network Expertise - both IPSEC and SSL.

• Next-Generation Firewall, Zone Based Firewall.

• Experience with deployment, configuration and troubleshooting of SD-Wan flows tied to zScaler.

• Experience with configuration and troubleshooting on SD-Wan Hybrid models and failover scenarios.

• Experience with configuration and troubleshooting of SD-Wan segmentation.

• Knowledge of Cloud Connect services.

• Experience with URL filtering and SASE related services.

• Experience developing and executing MOPS.

• Experience with Python, Ansible and Rest-API's is preferred.
